My childhood in rural northwest Wisconsin shaped my early love of all things outdoors, and my desire and need to pursue those paths in daily recreation and exploration. A degree in journalism from UW-Eau Claire led to a newspaper career of outdoor writing. New adventures and outlooks came with each story, always against a backdrop of the woods and fields of my youth. I continue to explore. This blog is of the thoughts of those explorations and observations, of how nature is a part of us, and we a part of nature. davegreschner@icloud.com
